Information for guests with and without COVID certificate

Special times generate special needs and require special measures. It is our concern to accommodate our guests in the Wellnesshotel Salina Maris in Switzerland as far as the BAG regulations allow and to offer additional possibilities.
Since 13 September 2021, new rules apply in Switzerland. Various indoor offers can now only be accessed with a Covid certificate, i.e. only those who have been tested, recovered or vaccinated may use these offers. However, hotel accommodation is still possible without a COVID certificate. The following rules apply at the Wellnesshotel Schweiz Salina Maris:

Vaccinated and recovered guests

you can enjoy all services (almost) without restrictions. But all guests are required to wear masks in the lobby. We also ask you to keep your distance in the interest of all.

According to the instructions of the FOPH, we must check your COVID certificate at check-in, every morning at breakfast and every evening at dinner. We would be grateful if you could have the certificate and your ID card ready at all times.

If you are vaccinated or recovered, and are also willing to prove this to us by means of your certificate, we can put a wristband on you which confirms your status to our staff. In this case, we can dispense with the repeated testing of the certificate.

Guests who are not vaccinated or have not recovered are also very welcome! However, due to current regulations, we can only offer a limited service without a certificate.

Overnight stay
in our spacious rooms are possible without restrictions.
Breakfast in room
Without surcharge we offer you an extensive breakfast menu, on which all items and drinks are listed, which you will also find on the buffet. The breakfast you have prepared will be served to your room at the desired time.
Please fill out the order form and put it in the evening in the 'mailbox' at the reception. Without any changes on your part, we bring you the same breakfast every day at the same time. Of course you can adjust your order every day.
Dinner
In the restaurant you can reserve a table on the terrace. We are also happy to serve you a plate of the day or a snack from our bar menu to your room.
On request, we can also assign you a room with a small kitchenette, so that you can prepare small meals yourself.
Wellness
Unfortunately, access to the swimming pool and the wellness offers is only possible for guests with a COVID certificate. Nevertheless, we have a wellness offer which is also accessible without COVID certificate.


Test possibilities in Breiten and surroundings

Test options

Guests without a COVID certificate must be retested after 48 hours if they wish to use all the offers. Together with our partner, the Central Pharmacy in Naters, we offer our guests a test service.
You can normally book a test with us by telephone (027 928 42 42) up to 24 hours before arrival. Normally the test has to be done in the afternoon until 17:00 at the latest (weekend until 15:00), so that you have the certificate at the dinner.
Even at short notice, we do everything we can to ensure that we can quickly offer you a necessary test.
The rapid antigen tests are carried out by means of a nasal swab, either directly in the hotel or in the Central Pharmacy in Naters. The official Covid certificate will be issued to you by the Central Pharmacy Naters and sent to you directly on the "Covid Cert App" and also by email.

Costs for the Corona tests

At the moment (until 10 October?), ONE weekly Corona test is free of charge, or this is billed via your health insurance and paid for by the federal government. If you would like to take such a test with us, we need your health insurance card so that our partner, the Central Pharmacy, can submit the invoice there.
Further tests must be paid for by the patient and cost CHF 50 per test.
OFFER FOR DIRECT BOOKERS: If you have booked at least 2 nights, we offer you the test with a 50% discount (1 test at CHF 25 per person per 2 nights).
If required, we can also offer you PCR tests. These cost CHF 150. The test result is usually available within 24 hours, at the latest after 48 hours. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

For our hotel we have drawn up a protection concept. It takes into account the guidelines for all areas:

  • Hotel business
  • Breakfast (gastronomy)
  • Spa, fitness and thermal brine pool
  • personal services (cosmetics, massages, therapies)
In addition, all our employees are tested weekly for Covid. Many employees have also been voluntarily vaccinated.

Basically, our guests do not have to worry about the technical requirements. We take care of it ‐ and so it looks sometimes a bit unusual in the Salina Maris. But if you are interested in our protection concept, you are welcome to download it

As a result of the corona pandemic, we have temporarily adjusted our cancellation conditions. You can cancel all direct bookings (via our website or by phone / email) free of charge up to 44 hours before the day of arrival. Direct bookings of packages can be canceled up to 7 days before arrival.
In addition, all bookings can be cancelled free of charge if the stay is made impossible by an official Corona measure - either on the part of the hotel or on the part of the guest.
An important recommendation by the FOPH is to “keep your distance”. Perhaps you would like our employees to keep as much distance as possible. That is why we can also offer you a hotel stay without room cleaning, without breakfast or with free breakfast service in your room. Inquire with us!
